Know all about the strong Portuguese influence and the traditional Hindu influence that pre-date the Portuguese. And get to know the differences between the two. Ride through the scenic lanes of Fontainhas on E-bikes, try different courses of local cuisine punctuated with Goan cocktails served by smiling locals. This is a ride that is nothing less than a feast for your senses.

This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Venite Bar and Restaurant, Rua 31 de Janeiro, Near Head Post Office, Altinho, Panaji, Goa 403001, India

Cuisine: The first stop is essentially the appetiser course, and would provide from a selected range of food items displaying the different sauces of Goan cuisine.

Why: The place is selected because it displays a strong connect to the era of Portuguese rule.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Joseph Bar, Gomes Pereira Road, Altinho, Panaji, Goa 403001, India

Cuisine: They would be serving a feni cocktail, which is a favourite authentic Goan alcohol, and some finger foods, which a typical Goan baker would provide.

Why: This stop is a perfect example to show the tavern culture of Goa, and displays what entertainment and night life Goa provided in yester years.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Kokni Kanteen, Dr Dada Vaidya Rd, Near Mahalaxmi Temple, Altinho, Panaji, Goa 403001, India

Cuisine: This is part one of the main course, specifically featuring the Hindu influenced goan food, such as the makings of a thali, and seafood, and a dessert. Also served will be typical Goan accompaniments such as sol kadi and such.

Why: The place has a strong resemblance to what a Goan kitchen would feel like with artefacts and items from the olden kitchens displayed around.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Viva Panjim, H.No. 178, Rua 31 de Janerio, Behind Mary Immaculate High School, Fontainhas, Fontainhas (quarter), Altinho, Panaji, Goa 403001, India

Cuisine: This is the second part of the main course, featuring the Catholic influenced Goan cuisine, such as cafreal, caldinha and such, and will be accompanied by wine and a favourite dessert.

Why: The place is set in an alley amidst old houses that display Portuguese architecture. The lively ambience is makes for a good company. The food trail will officially end here. And the guests may take the scenic route back to the hub.
