This private 8-hour excursion, takes you to the mystifying greens of National Chambal Sanctuary. Located at a distance of 80 kilometres from Agra, the sanctuary is a veritable haven for Gharials, Crocodiles, Turtles, Gangetic Dolphins, smooth coated Otters and boasts over 290 species of resident and migratory birds. Enjoy a River Safari with a naturalist followed by lunch. Later, visit the medieval temple town of Bateshwar before returning to Agra.

This tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Agra where you will begin your drive to Chambal.

Following lunch, continue to the ancient temple complex at Bateshwar on the river Yamuna, 10 kilometres from Chambal, consisting of more than a hundred temples dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. 

A huge cattle fair is held here every year during the months of October and November. This is also the time when devotees congregate here in large numbers to worship Lord Shiva and take holy dips in the River Yamuna. Enjoy a boat ride along the temple ghats and enjoy local tea at one of the terraces overlooking the quaint temple town.

After your visit to Bateshwar, you will return to Agra and will be dropped back to your hotel.
