Each Day a New Experience, a New Himachal

Irrespective of the number of days you spend in Himachal, your experience is going to be simply fantastic!

Brief Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive in Pathankot- Unexplored places, Dalhousie, Khajjiar

Day 2: dainkund- Jot- Riverside experience- Swimming- live cooking- fishing, ETU Homestay- Bonfire-BBQ- Live Music/karaoke

Day 3: Dharmshala- Mcloadgunj (monasteries, waterfalls, temples, shopping)

Day 4: Trek in Tirund, local places in Dhamshala and ETU Home Stay

Day 5: Local places in Chamba and Drop Off

Day 1

The Exotic Himachal

Start our trip with a visit to the renowned ‘Mukteshwar Temple’. This temple stands tall at the hill top and is a landmark around the city. Carved out of a hill during the time of Mahabharata, the temple and surrounding caves are an architectural delight. After spending some time here we will head towards Ranjit Sagar Dam. This dam is the largest hydroelectric dam in the state of Punjab/Himachal Pradesh.

Post visiting Ranjit Sagar Dam we will go to one of the most beautiful and unexplored places called ‘Anan Waterfall’. The temple is located right next to a gorgeous hundred feet high waterfall.

We will check in around noon at Arpana or Forest Department resort/Guest House in Dalhousie.

After Lunch we will go to Khajjiar which is also referred as mini Switzerland as it is located 6500 ft. above sea level and is surrounded by meadows, forests, and mountains.

Next we will drive to Kalatop which is known for its green landscape, majestic mountains, and wildlife sanctuary. Later in the evening we will head back to Dalhousie. Dalhousie offers an excellent ambience to relax and spend time with family and friends. And Yes, you can indulge in Shopping too!

Day 2

The Rustic/Rural Himachal

Get up early and take a morning walk in garam road which is full of Pine & Deodar tree. After breakfast we will drive to Dainkund. Dainkund is the highest peak in Dalhousie and gets maximum snowfall during the winter season. After having a great time in Dainkund we will head back to ETU homestay.

On the way we will stop at Jot. You will be happy to know that the acclaimed Indian movie - 'Gadar' was shot in Jot!

On our way back from Jot we will make a halt at a riverside which is next to ETU homestay for Lunch. This will be a very relaxing and a calming experience. You can enjoy many unconventional activities like Meditation, relax in the floating beds, calm rafting, and bathing in fresh water while our in-house cook prepares lip smacking delicacies!

Have you ever experienced full body mud pack? If not, you can definitely try it on this day. It’s not just refreshing but is also known to have certain therapeutic properties.

By evening we will come back to ETU Homestay. ETU Homestay is set amidst a picturesque location (https://www.etuadventures.com/homestay). The homestay surrounded by jungle and close to ‘Hamachli Village’ will provide you an authentic Himachal experience. At ETU Homestay we will organize several fun games, both indoor and outdoor, we will also cook some delicious meal in most primitive way! Yes, we will use wood as fuel and stove made up of clay. And yes, not to forget the clay utensils which adds distinct flavor to the food!

Also, arrangements will be made for bonfire, delicious BBQ, and yes some music by our in-house artists!

Day 3

The Lively Himachal

After having an early breakfast of your choice we will head to Dharmshala. On the way we will make our first stop at Masroor temple. Masroor temple was carved out of a large rock - a magnificent monolithic structure. It is one of a kind in entire Himachal Pradesh.

Around noon, we will check in at Paradise homestay in Dharmshala. After getting some rest we will visit some of the local tourist spots like monasteries, museums, temples, waterfalls, Tea Garden, Cricket Stadium and Tibetan settlements.

Our evening will be at Mcloadgunj where you can have a good time and indulge in shopping and eating.

Day 4

Adventurous Himachal

After a light breakfast we will head to Tirund track or Naddi Track. Both the tracks are of around 8 km and offers panoramic views of Bhagsu village, Mcleodganj, Dharamsala valley and distant views of Shivalik hills and plains of Kangra valley.

After the trek we will take some rest and then check out from the hotel and then visit the remaining local places like Dal Lake, Khanyara, Bhagsu waterfall.

Head back to ETU homestay in the evening

When you are inside ETU’s Homestay you can do the following:

▪ Challenge your friends to a game at Pool Table

▪ Archery, for those who love bow and arrows!

▪ In addition, we also have Bullseye, Tambola (Bingo/Housie), Caroom board and Beer pong game!

▪ Our team at ETU’s Homestay also comprises of local musicians who can entertain our guests with some live music!

Finish our night with Bonfire , BBQ’s and Local Himachal cuisines
