We at "Foodies Day Out" offer you the chance to experience the local cuisine as the natives do. We take you to places where no guide book can lead you to. On this tour, we travel across the city of Madurai, to taste the best culinary dishes the city has to offer. We drive around in a car to eat the best signature dishes of our local eateries and also walk along the streets to indulge ourselves in uninhibited eating spree. You will get to taste some unique "madurai" dishes, such as paruthipaal (cotton seed milk), thennam kuruthu (bark of the coconut tree), bun parotta, the super delicious Jil Jil Jigar Thanda etc.

We will pick you up from your hotel lobby by 5.15pm in our personal air conditioned car or a hired air conditioned vehicle depending on the size of the tour group. After the initial introductions, we take you out on a gastronomical adventure. For the next 3 to 3.5hrs we stop at multiple local eateries, and we get to taste the best dish each place has to offer. Each of the dishes are unique and have specific connection with the local history.

The cost of the tour includes pickup from the hotel, all food and beverages we have on the tour, bottled water, personal guide and drop back at the hotel.
