Goecha la Trek is in Sikkim, it's the dream trek for almost all trek & adventure seekers. it is one of the most romantic treks in the country giving a great view of the third highest peak in the world, Kanchenjunga. The trek has diverse flora & fauna that makes the complete ambience so tranquil. The breath-taking view of mountain peaks and attractive meadows makes the journey even more awe-inspiring. The trekking is difficult in areas and needs professional trekkers who can guide & train during the trek.

Goecha la trek is universally known as the most romantic trek of the Himalayas, Goecha la means “understanding the portion of the mountain pass”.

Itinerary

Day 1: Reach Yuksom

Stop At: Coronation Throne Of Norbugang, Norbugang Park, Yuksom India
The trek starts from a small, quiet village in West Sikkim. Before leaving for the trek, explore the village, one of the roads will take you straight to the helipad, which gives you a grand view of the hamlet. Also, Yuksom is the last destination which can reached by road. All treks start from here and here you also visit the Kangchendzonga National Park. All plastic money users remember there is no ATM facility ahead so if you need it then you must use it here.
Duration: 2 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast: Oat meal /Parantha/Puri Sabji

Bread sandwich served with seasonal fruits/Boiled egg.
• Lunch: Veg Biryani/Allo sabji-Chapati along with refreshment like juice,choclate/biscuits with seasonal fruit some days.
• Dinner: Matar Paneer /Seasonal mix veg, Tawa Roti (Chapatti), Steamed/fried Rice.
Accommodation included: Overnight at Yuksom in Twilight Camps on Double or Triple Sharing Basis

Day 2: Trek From Yuksom To Tshoka

Stop At: Tshoka village. Goecha La Camp 3, Tshoka, Sikkim 737113, India
The smallest campsite of this trek. It’s the best place for the photographers where they can find dense forest to walk free around. The lush greenery, the freshness in the air, the clouds playing around and kissing the peaks, the sunshine on and off – everything seems so perfect there. Finally arriving in tShoka, settling down into the twilight campsite & good night for the day.

Day 3: Trek From Tshoka to Dzongri

Stop At: Dzongri Trekker Hut Goecha La, West Sikkim, Sikkim 737113, India
On the third day of our trek we shall be reaching dZongri, we shall be crossing Prek Chu river and then to hike uphill through the aromatic viburnum plantations. For shopaholics here is the spot for you at Bakhim, where you can purchase souvenirs, you can have maggi here and can even get snacks packed for Tshokha. For photographers again, it is the best site especially for time lapse video shoot. Hereafter, trekking upwards, we will finally reach Tshoka, the Tibetan refugee settlement, so you will see many old built homes here. Catch the glimpse of Mt. Pandim 6691m, Mt. Kabur north 7338m, Mt. Kabur south 7317m, Mt. Kumbhakarna (Janoo) 7710m, Mt. Simvo 6811m, Mt. Kabru Forked 6108m, Mt, Frey Peak 5830m, Mt. Rathong 6679m, Mt. Kokthang 6147m and Mt. Goecha Peak 5127m. Also, you can visit a tiny lake, just a few meters away from wooden huts. Finally settle down for the day in your twilight campsite.

Day 4: Acclimatisation Day at Dzongri

Stop At: Dzongri La, Goecha La Trek, 737113 India
A much-needed break to relax the muscles & to get acclimatized with the altitude 5th day of the trekking will be in Dzongri. Big wooden huts will help you stay together, get. Also, the solo travelers will find fellow trekkers here. You can enjoy playing indoor games here

Day 5: Trek From Dzongri To Thansing

Stop At: Thansing, Goecha La Trek, Goecha La, Sikkim 737113, India
t’s the toughest day of the trek, but that last few meters of climb will finally take you to camp site which gives you enough courage to take a glance of Dzongri top and spend some time along with your cameras nearby river. For woolen seekers here comes the warmth for you can shop for woolen apparel and caps. Although it is quite expensive here as compared to its quality. By the time you reach Dzongri, it will be covered with snow. The view is mesmerizing as snow all ound and only colourful element is you and your tents. The starry night will be enough to keep all the photographers & writers awake in a haste of catching moment.

Day 6: Trek Thansing To Lamunay

Stop At: Khangchendzonga National Park, Sikkim, India
We reached Lamuney by the afternoon it is the biggest plane surface area of this trek. Our twilight campsite will be put right next to the river, and we could clearly see the mountains on the other side. We can play cricket with 'Desi' ball made with waste plastic bag and papers. For readers no place can be better than this for your reading stuff.

Day 7: Lamunay To Goecha La

Stop At: Goecha La Trek, India
We must start the trekking early to avoid the climatic conditions. While returning from the view point, clear sky will wait for us along with fantastic view of Samiti lake. The reflection of Mt Pandim and Mt Tenzingkhang will able to make you lost in the true feeling of Himalayas. Don’t be in hurry to return Thansing instead, spend most of the time around the lake. Behold the magical views of the Kanchenjunga and other distant peaks before we start moving back towards Lamuney for a twilight campsite.

Day 8: Trek From Lamunay To Tshoka

Stop At: Phedang, Goecha La Trek, Sikkim 737113, India
To avoid steep climb, we shall be taking a route through the Dzongri Plateau to avoid the long climb. The trail passes through Prek Chu and the deciduous forests of Phedang. This route will have enough stuff to amaze you. Arriving in Tshoka, settle down in the overnight stay camps.

Day 9: Tshoka To Yuksom

Pass By: Khangchendzonga National Park, Sikkim, India
Descending back through the Prek Chu River, we shall will be arriving in Yuksom, the last leg of this astonishing tour. The stay will be in guest house. You can charge your devices there and can start sharing the stuff like social profile, exchanging numbers and pictures. Finally, it will be a good night.

Day 10: Departure From Yuksom.
