Kanheri Caves Tour from Mumbai - A Guided Experience
The Kanheri caves served the purpose of Buddhist centers of education, where the religious men used to deliver lectures on the religious texts and about basic moral values. Kanheri caves are located within the forests of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the caves are 6 km from the main gate.
The Kanheri Caves demonstrate the Buddhist influence on the art and culture of India. Kanheri means Black Mountain. They were chiseled out of a massive basaltic rock outcropping.
Note- The return time for every trip is 10 pm if the time exceeds 10 pm then from 10 pm to 12 midnight an additional driver allowance of Rs. 300 is payable. If the time crosses 12 midnight then an additional days charge is payable.
