The main Ghat of the city, Dasaswamesh Ghat is located on the banks of River Ganga. Two Hindu legends are associated with the ghat and the present Ghat is built by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao in the year 1748. Every evening the ghat observes synchronized aarti done by saints. The view is mesmerizing and it is said that all the wishes come true, upon being blessed by the aarti.
