Odisha temple tour is combined with Mangrove Forest of Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary famous for Basking Giant Salt Water Crocodiles. Explore many Hindu temples like Rajarani, Lingaraj, Lord Jagannath Temple and Konark, The Sun Temple an UNESCO Wold Heritage Site built in the shape of a Chariot. The temple stands tall in midst of a beautiful scenic landscape and show cases the cultural heritage of the state. Buddhist structures like Dhaulgiri Temple and Udaygiri, Khandagiri, Ratnagiri, Lalitagiri caves are also part of this itinerary. While staying on the beach hotels in Puri you will do the excursion visit to Chilika Lake the paradise for migratory bird, the boat ride may provide the opportunity to sight dolphins.

Itinerary

Day 1: Bhubaneswar

Pass By: Bhubaneswar, Bhubaneswar, Khurda District, Odisha
On arrival at Bhubaneshwar airport assistance and transfer to hotel.

Stop At: Parasurameswara Temple, Bhubaneswar 517526 India
Later city tour visiting famous temples Parasurameshwar, Mukteshwar, Rajarani & Lingaraj temple (non-Hindus are not allowed to enter inside the main temple sanctum). Also excursion to visit Khandgiri, Udayagiri Jain caves and Dhauli Rock Edicts. Evening enjoy Dhauli light & sound show at Dhauli (Closed on Monday).

Day 2: Bhubaneswar - Bhitaraknika (160km/ 3 hr approx)

Stop At: Bhitarkanika National Park, Bhitarkanika National Park, Kendrapara District, Odisha
After early breakfast proceed to Bhitarkanika, the Wildlife Sanctuary, check in to the Forest Resort followed by Lunch. After lunch enjoy different creeks for spotting Basking Giant Salt Water Crocodiles, Nature trek inside the sanctuary area to see birds & en-dangerous animals. The park is home to the saltwater crocodile, Indian python, black ibis, wild boar, rhesus monkey, chital, darter, cobra, monitor lizard. Olive ridley turtles nest on Gahirmatha and other nearby beaches. Bhitarkanika has one of the largest populations of endangered saltwater crocodile in India and is globally unique in that, 10% of the adults exceed 6m length. Dinner & overnight at Forest Resort, Bhitaraknika.

Day 3: Bhitaraknika - Ratnagiri- Puri (240km/ 5hrs approx)

Stop At: Udayagiri, Odisha, India
Breakfast at hotel followed by boat safari. Later drive to Puri via visiting Ratnagiri, Udaigiri & Lalitgiri Excavated Buddhist Sites. On arrival check in & overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Puri

Stop At: Konark Sun Temple, Kasia-Tamkuhi Road, Konark India
Breakfast at hotel full day excursion to visit Konark Sun temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site) Pipili the applique work village & Raghurajpur artisan village. Further visit, Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga beach. Also visit world famous lord Jagannath temple (non-Hindus are not allowed to enter inside the main temple sanctum). Rest time to relax on the beach.

Day 5: Puri – Chilika Lake (55km/ 1hr approx)

Stop At: Chilika Lake, Satapada Satapada, Puri 752001 India
Breakfast at hotel excursion to visit Chilika (Mangalajodi Birds paradise). Chilika Lake is a brackish water lagoon, at the mouth of the Daya River, flowing into the Bay of Bengal, covering an area of over 1,100km². Boating on the lake. Evening back to Puri.
