In India, palm wine or toddy is served as either neera or padaneer (a

sweet, non-alcoholic beverage derived from fresh sap) or kallu (a

sour beverage made from fermented sap, but not as strong as wine). Kallu is usually drunk soon after fermentation by the end of day, as it becomes more

sour and

acidic day by day.

Too and Fro Transfers will be provided by Air Condition vehicle from City Hotels.

Air Condition vehicle will be reported at your City Hotel by 06:30 AM and start the day to Palm farm.

We shall take you to visit palm wine farm at Keezhur village which is 12Km from Pondicherry. This village is pleasant and a historic place having Pondicherry and French connection.

The program starts with a leisurely walk through the farm. Later the Guide will explain about Palm trees and their varieties etc., and next up Palm Tapping session and tasting.also you can explore, taste fresh palm wine right down the trees with mouth-watering accompaniments. you will surely enjoy the story, tapping process and can take photos,

Advantages of Toddy Drink: Fresh toddy keeps us fresh and is healthy. Toddy which is the wine of the palm tree is very nutritious and healthy. ... If it's fermented then it is alcohol, protein, ascorbic acid and titratable acidity properties escalated in it and the fresh toddy changes into more alcoholic toddy.

After the session you will be transferred back to Hotel by the Air condition vehicle.
