The trip starts at 0800hrs from the hotel where you will meet your guide who will accompany you for the day trip. The drive to Sun Temple is approx. 2 hrs 30 minutes (depends on road and traffic conditions). The tour will start with the visit to the famous Sun Temple of Modhera. Set along the backdrop of River Pushpavati, surrounded by a terra-formed garden of flowering trees and songs of birds, rests the famed Sun temple of Modhera. A walk around the serene temple campus makes you aware of the positively strong aura of energy which the place radiates and through it brings one closer to the environs. After admiring Sun Temple you will be taken to Patan known for its century-old Rani ki Vav (stepwell) a UNESCO site. Arrive at the site and admire the most famous legacies of the ancient capital city of Patan. The steps of the vav begin at ground level, leading you down through the cool air through several pillared pavilions to reach the deep well below. Admire the elaborate sculptures carved on the walls of the stepwell. The central theme is the Dasavataras, or ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu, including Buddha.

Afterward, visit a private museum created and managed by one of the last living families of the world famous Patola silk sarees. The museum displays awards, certificates, photographs of celebrities, old vegetable dyes, old sarees woven by the families and other creations, a 200 years old red Patola frock for a child and some old looms, a small library and samples of single ikat textiles from various countries. The place is no doubts is the highlight of the visit. Later you will drive back to your hotel in Ahmedabad where your tour will conclude.
