Enjoy an opportunity to pull some strings and learn from a professional puppeteer. Be amused by a charming puppet show, assemble your very own Rajasthani string puppet and then head for a memorable luncheon.

Your tour will start when you get picked up from your hotel and brought to the location of the puppet show.

Locally called Kathputli - the colourful string puppets of Rajasthan are made of wood and cloth. The head of the puppets are carved out of wood and colored according to characters they depict in the episodes. Strings are attached to the head for manipulation. The faces are usually painted yellow, white or any light color. The body, up to the waist and hands, is made of stuffed rags, cotton or cloth bits. The hands have no joints unlike the other string puppets of India. The artist will not only teach you the techniques of maneuvering these traditional marionettes and will also tell you why the selection of colors is important for bringing a puppet to form.

The session ends with a puppet show followed by a lunch at a restaurant. After that you will be brought back to your hotel.
