Amer Fort stands proudly on the wooded hills of Aravali range. It faces Maota Lake in the front. Due to large trees around it, the lake is called Maota. The lake includes an island in the centre known as Kesar Kyari Bagh. The fort of Amer is constructed of red sandstone and marble and it is an agglomeration of Hindu and Mughal artistic style element.
