The Sidi Saiyad Mosque built in 1572-73 AD has beautiful stone latticework Jalis (windows).

Erected by Ahmed Shah 1 (A.D. 1411- 1441) having 260 pillars and 15 domes with beautiful carved pillars.

A city square area got it named after the saint Baba Manek Nath who was buried alive or took samadhi at this place on the river bank of Sabarmati.

Dada Harir ni Vav or Dada Harir's stepwell was built in 1485. Built in sand stone in Hindu-Islamic architectural style, the Dada Harir stepwell is five stories deep and octagonal in shape at the top, built on intricately carved large pillars and entrance is from the East and two spiral staircases are in West. The stepwell was built by Dhai Harir, a household lady of Mahmud Begada according to the Persian inscription in the stepwell. Later the name corrupted to dada Harir ni Vaav.
