Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Bagdogra / NJP drive to Gangtok

Stop At: MG Marg, M G Marg, Gangtok 737101 India
Arrive at Gangtok and check in to your hotel. later visit :-

MG Marg (a famous spot of the town for flea shopping and relaxation.

Day 2: Excursion To Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir And Nathula ( Indo-China Border).

Stop At: Nathula Pass, Gangtok 737101 India
Nathu La is a mountain pass in the Himalayas in East Sikkim district. It connects the Indian state of Sikkim with China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The pass, at 4,310 m above mean sea level, forms a part of an offshoot of the ancient Silk Road. Nathu means "listening ears" and La means "pass" in Tibetan

Stop At: Tsomgo Lake, Jawaharlal Nehru Road Tathangchen Area, Gangtok 737101 India
Tsomgo Lake, also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake, is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim, some 40 kilometres from the capital Gangtok. Located at an elevation of 3,753 m, the lake remains frozen during the winter season.

Stop At: Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Temple, Between Nathula And Jelepla Pass, Gangtok India
Captain "Baba" Harbhajan Singh (30 August 1946 – 4 October 1968)[1] was an Indian army soldier. He is revered as the "Hero of Nathula" by soldiers of the Indian army, who built a shrine in his honour. He was accorded the status of saint by believers who refer to him as the "Baba" (saintly father). Many of his faithful - chiefly Indian army personnel posted in and around the Nathu La and the Sino-Indian border between the state of Sikkim and Chinese Tibet - have come to believe his spirit protects every soldier in the inhospitable high-altitude terrain of the Eastern Himalayas. As with most saints, the Baba is believed to grant favours to those who revere and worship him. He is said to be protecting the country even after death

Day 3: Gangtok Local Sight Seeing and drop to Darjeeling.

Stop At: Deorali Orchid Sanctuary, Near Namgyal Institute, Gangtok India
The Orchid Sanctuary makes a must visit in Gangtok. The sanctuary is famous for its rare and extensive collection of orchids. The sanctuary’s collection also varies depending on the seasons. However, the wide spread orchid sanctuary has almost 454 species of orchid found in Sikkim. An interesting place to visit especially for nature lovers.

Stop At: Enchey Monastery, Gangtok-Nathula Road, Gangtok 737103 India
Enchey monastery is another place you must visit in Gangtok. The Enchey monastery literally means the solitary temple. At the time it was constructed, it was the only building in the entire area. This place especially attracts attention during the religious dances or \’Chaam\’ performed in January. The relatively small monastery was built 200 years ago and the present building was constructed in the year 1909. The site where the monastery is built is supposed to be blessed by Lama Druptob Karpo, a tantric master known for his flying powers. You can also get wonderful view of Kanchenjunga from here.

Stop At: Ganesh Tok View Point, East District, Gangtok 737101 India
A small Ganesh temple just next to the television tower on the hill is popularly known as Ganesh Tok. It is just 7 km from the heart of the Gangtok city at an altitude of 6,500mt. The temple can only accommodate one persona at a time but is well known through out the state. It is also the best place to get a view of Raj Bhawan, Kanchunjunga and the surrounding valley. Close to it is Smriti Van, where one can plant saplings for their loved ones.

Stop At: Banjhakri Water Falls, 4 Km From Gangtok, Gangtok 737101 India
Located en route to Ranka and 4 kms away from Gangtok, the Ban Jhakri Falls, lies amidst a lush green valley spread over two acres, surrounded by trees and a gushing mountain river. The Park has a shamanistic theme. Hence, while the location of the Park penetrating the forest spreads seeks to enhance the essence of the occult and the unknown, the place itself is littered with ethnic sculptures and figurines of the Jhakri culture. The park includes a waterfall and has well laid out trails to wander along with gazebos placed at convenient spots to soothe weary legs while the eyes can continue to marvel over the gushing streams and falls. Sikkimese styled foot bridges add more colour to the myriad hued park adorned with exotic flowers of wide variety. A dragon-adorning splash pool beckons longingly at children who can splash about, while the exhibition centre also doubles as a cafeteria. Designated fishing spots along the stream further offer visitors a chance to dwell over life matters while waiting for a bite of the local trout.

Stop At: Gangtok Ropeway, Syari Rd Deorali Bazar, Gangtok 737102 India
If you are at Gangtok you must visit ropeways or cable car located at Deorali market. This rope way of about 1 km long has three entry points or stops. The lowest point is at Deorali market and the highest point is at Tashiling (below the state secretariat). There is a mid point stop at Nam-Nang. One can enter from any point and return to same point after touching other two points. Cable car journey provides spectacular view of Gangtok market, valley and assembly hall of state of Sikkim on its 15 to 20 minutes journey.

Stop At: Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, South of Gangtok Centre, Gangtok 737101 India
A visit to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology is a great way to get acquainted with Tibetan culture. Regarded as the highest seat of learning amongst the Mahayana scholars, this Institute was built in 1958 and is a famous global centre for the study of Buddhist philosophy and religion today. It houses the world's largest collected works and rare manuscripts on the theme of Mahayana Buddhism. Apart from this collection, the museum has more than 200 Buddhist icons, antique paintings, thangkas, statues, shrines, tapestries, masks and other religious works of Tibetan Art. The Institute also has in its keep around 30,000 volumes; most of them in the form of xylographs. Xylographs are document prints on wooden slabs with matter imprinted on them. It also has translations of the original teachings of the Lord Buddha and discourses by eminent Buddhist scholars from all parts of the world. Visitors can also buy Buddhist religious books and Tibetan crafts from the Institute

Stop At: Tashi View Point, Gangtok India
Constructed by the erstwhile King of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal, panoramic Tashi Viewpoint is set in the midst of beautiful scenic views, and is the perfect place to look at the abundant natural panoramic bounty of Sikkim. On clear days, Kanchunjunga is clearly visible and visitors can also see the Labrang Monastery and Phodong Monastery on the opposite hill. A small shed and café serves the visitors and over a period of time, has become a popular picnic spot.

Day 4: Darjeeling Local Sight Seeing.

Stop At: Ghoom Monastery, Tamang Buddhidt Monastery Rd, Darjeeling 734102 India
Old Ghoom Monastery is the popular name of Yiga Choeling. The monastery belongs to the Gelukpa or the Yellow Hat sect and is known for its 15 feet-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha

Stop At: Tiger Hill Upper Darjeeling, Darjeeling 734101 India
Tiger Hill is located in Darjeeling, in the Indian State of West Bengal, and is the summit of Ghoom, the highest railway station in the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stop At: Batasia Loop, Ghum, Darjeeling 734102 India
The Batasia Loop is a spiral railway created to lower the gradient of ascent of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. At this point, the track spirals around over itself through a tunnel and over a hilltop. It was commissioned in 1919.

Stop At: Japanese Peace Pagoda, Darjeeling 734101 India
Peace Pagoda, Darjeeling or Darjeeling Peace Pagoda is one of the Peace Pagodas designed to provide a focus for people of all races and creeds to help unite them in their search for world peace. It is located in the town of Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Stop At: Ava Art Gallery, Near Chowrasta, Darjeeling 734102 India
Ava Art Gallery of Darjeeling houses a collection of excuisite artwork of late Ms. Ava Devi that includes work on water, oil and thread paintings.

Stop At: Happy Valley Tea Estate, Lebong Cart Road, Darjeeling 734101 India
Happy Valley Tea Estate is a tea garden in Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Established in 1854, it is Darjeeling's second oldest tea estate. Spread over 177 hectares, it is situated at a height of 2,100 metres above sea level, 3 kilometres north of Darjeeling, and employs more than 1500 people

Stop At: Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Ghoom Museum, Ghoom Railway Station, Darjeeling 734102 India
The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, also known as the DHR or the Toy Train, is a 2 ft gauge railway that runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal. Built between 1879 and 1881, it is about 88 km long

Stop At: Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Jawahar Parvat, Darjeeling, Darjeeling 734101 India
The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was established in Darjeeling, India on 4 November 1954 to encourage mountaineering as an organized sport in India.

Day 5: Darjeeling To Silliguri.

Stop At: Eagle's Crag, 1 km from Kurseong Railway, Kurseong India
