Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Day 2: Delhi to Amritsar, by train, check into hotel, visit the city

Stop At: Golden Temple Road Atta Mandi, Katra Ahluwalia, Amritsar 143001 India
The temple is surrounded by the lake which gave the town its name, a causeway connects the temple in the middle of the pool. Pilgrims from all over the world come here to visit the temple.

Stop At: Attari-Wagah Border Attari, Amritsar 143001 India
The lowering of the flags ceremony at the Attari-Wagah border is a daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan have jointly followed since 1959. It is called the Beating Retreat border ceremony on the international level.

Day 4: Visit Dharamshala, (1830m)

Namgyal monastery is surrounded by the row of prayer wheels and houses large life images of the Budha, Padmasambhava and Avalokteshwara.

Day 5: Dharamsala to Mandi via Baijnath- Rewalsar , 167 km

Stop At: Palampur Tea Gardens, Hotel T Bud - Neuggal Rd, Palampur 176061 India
The abundance of tea plantation has made Palampur the Tea Capital of North India. The lush plantation with the backdrop of gorgeous Dhauladhar Mountain Range adds to the beauty of Palampur.

Stop At: Baijnath Temple, Baijnath, Baijnath Tehsil India
Shiva temple dedicated to Vadianath, that built in Shikhera style and is remarkable for its proportion and architectural beauty

Stop At: Rewalsar Lake, 22.5 Km From Mandi, Mandi 175023 India
The sacred lake is identified as the Sahar of yore. Legends say that , this is a place from where Padma sambhava left for Tibet to spread the word of the Budha in the 8th century A.D.

Day 6: Mandi to Kullu-Manali (2000m) 90 km.

Stop At: Basheshwar Mahadev Temple, Bishweshwar Temple Rd, Bajaura 175125 India
Bajeshwar Mahadev Temple is famous for its complex stone carvings. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple houses a large ‘Yoni Lingam’ idol represting Lord Shiva and his wife Goddes Parvati.

Day 7: Explore Manali

Stop At: Hadimba Devi Temple, Hadimba Temple Rd, Old Manali, Manali, Himachal Pradesh 175131, India
It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian epic Mahabharta.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Naggar Castle, Naggar, Manali Tehsil India
A true reminder of the centuries old Pal Dynasty, the Naggar Castle is an ancient building that was built somewhere 500 hundred years in the past. It is believed that the prominent Naggar castle was built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu.

Day 8: Manali to Keylong (115 km, 2850m) or Jispa-135kms. 3200m.

Stop At: Rohtang Pass, Himalayan Ranges India
Rohtang pass (3950 mtrs.) is the gateway between semi desert Lahaul and the lush green valley of Kullu. It is a high mountain pass on the eastern Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas around 51 km from Manali.

Stop At: Shashur Monastery, Near Lahaul And Spiti Valley, Keylong 175132 India
A 16th-century gompa belongs to the red hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism or Drukpa order and has spiritual connection with the Lion Cave Temple of Bhutan.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 9: Keylong to Sarchu 4253 mtr over Baralacha la (4800m) 90 km.

Stop At: Sarchu, Himachal Pradesh 175132, India
Sarchu also known as Sir Bhum Chun is around 236 kms from Leh and same distance from 237 kms from Manali.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 10: Sarchu to Leh ( 3500 m. 250 km.

Stop At: Tanglang La, Leh-Manali Highway Road Ladhak, Leh 194101 India
Tanglang La, elevation 5,328 metres, is a high mountain pass in Ladakh region. It brilliantly radiants its beauty through its amazing backdrops and dramatic landscapes.

Day 11: Around Leh: 90km.

Stop At: Hemis Monastery, Hemis India
A mass of splendid architecture on a green hill has been built by the inveterate royal architect Singe Namgyal in 1630. the monastery belongs to Drukpa sect of Buddhism, site is privileged for Namgyal dynasty,
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Thiksey Monastery, Leh Manali Highway, Leh 194101 India
A majestic monastery perched on a rocky outcrop built in the 15th century during the first wave of expansion of Gelugpa sect in Ladakh. In the entry, there are the paintings of protective deities and the great masters of the sect.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Shey Monastery, Indus River, Leh India
Shey, once the capital of Upper Ladakh before being supplanted by Leh, monastery housed rich murals painting, well restored and represent the 18 arhats (disciples of Buddha who attained enlightenment).
Duration: 1 hour

Day 12: Leh to Lamayuru 140 km. via Alchi (3450m)

Stop At: Lamayuru Monastery (Yuru Gompa), Srinagar-Kargil-Leh Road, Lamayuru 194106 India
Lamayuru is one of the ancient monasteries magnificently perched on the hill. Before Buddhism penetrated in the region this site was known as a centre for Bon religion.

Day 13: Back to Leh via Rizong and Ohyang, 71 km.

Stop At: Rizong Monastery and Jelichun Nunnery, India
Rizong gompa, Gelugpa or Yellow Hat Buddhist monastery is also called the Yuma Changchubling in Ladakh. he monastery is also called "the paradise for meditation" and is noted for its extremely strict rules and standards.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Phyang Monastery, Leh Srinagar Highway, Leh 194101 India
The monastery was founded 446 years ago (reckoning from 1977). Called Tashi Chozang, there are sacred shrines and various wall paintings are to be seen which date from the royal period. The protected deity of the monastery is Apchi Choski Dolma.

Day 14: Leh–Delhi , flight

Stop At: Red Fort, Netaji Subhash Marg, New Delhi 110002 India

Stop At: Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid), 6 km North of Connaught Pl. across from Lal Qila, New Delhi India
The Masjid e Jahan Numa commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi, is one of the largest mosques in India. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan
