This incredibly unique tour takes travelers on a tailor made journey into the tribes and villages of India where the lesser-known, but nonetheless important, traditions and customs of local communities reveal fascinating cultural insight. Discover sections of India’s society that casual tourists rarely get to witness as you meet the tribes living within the market & villages situated between Orissa & Chhattisgarh. The tribes including the Baiga, Maria, Dhurwa, Kondh, Paraja and Koraput.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Bhubaneswar

Pass By: Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India
On arrival at Bhubaneswar airport assistance and transfer to hotel. Later city tour visiting famous temples including Rajarani, Parsurameswar, Mukteswar, Brahmeswar & Lingaraj (Foreigners and non-Hindus are not allowed inside the sanctum sanctorum).

Day 2: Bhubaneswar - Khandagiri - Udaigiri - Dhauli - Pipli - Raghurajpur - Puri

Stop At: Khandagiri Caves, Udaygiri Khandagiri Road Khandagiri Hills, Bhubaneswar 751030 India
Breakfast at hotel, drive to Puri via visiting Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves (the oldest rock cut caves). Further drive to visit Dhauli peace pagoda, Pipli the applique work village & Raghurajpur craft village. Arrive Puri check in at hotel. Rest time free and easy to relax on the golden beach of Puri.

Day 3: Puri - Konark - Puri

Stop At: Jagannath Temple, Puri 752001 India
Breakfast at hotel. Visit Jagannath temple (non hindus are not allowed inside the sanctum sanctorum). Then drive to Konark to visit the Sun temple (UNESCO world heritage site). Enroute visit Ramchandi temple, Chandrabhaga beach & fishermens village. Return back to Puri, visit beach market.

Day 4: Puri - Chilika - Gopalpur

Stop At: Chilika Lake, Satapada Satapada, Puri 752001 India
Breakfast at hotel, drive to Chilika lake at Barkul (the largest brackish water lake). At Chilika take the boat cruies to explore the birds island & Nalabana island. Then proceed to Gopalpur and check in at hotel.

Day 5: Gopalpur - Taptapani - Saura Tribe - Rayagada

Stop At: Taptapani, Taptapani, Gajapati District, Odisha
Breakfast at hotel, drive to Rayagada enroute visit Taptapani the hot sulpheric spring & Saura tribal villages. On arrival at Rayagada check in to the hotel.

Day 6: Rayagada - Bisamkatak - Rayagada

Stop At: Bissamcuttack, Odisha 765019, India
Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Dukum (near Bisamkatak) to visit weekly market of Desia kondh Tribe (weekly market commence on Tuesday only). Later visit to Dokra crafts village at Jhigidi. Return back to Rayagada.

Day 7: Rayagada - Chatikona - Jeypore

Stop At: Chati Kona, Odisha 765019, India
Breakfast at hotel drive down to Chatikona to watch the interesting colourful weekly market of Dongriya Kondh Tribes (weekly market commence on Wednesday only). This tribe is one of the most primitive tribe of the Kondh's and they live in the high slopes of the Niyamagiri Hills. Then visit to Minapai (the bamboo craft village). Later drive to Jeypore.

Day 8: Jeypore - Ankadelli - Jeypore

Stop At: Jeypore, Jeypore, Koraput District, Odisha
Breakfast at hotel, drive to Ankadelli to visit the famous Bonda tribes (weekly market commence on Thursday only), who comes once every week for their weekly market. It is a unique opportunity to see such a colourful concentration of typical tribals at one place. Most interesting is to watch the Bonda woman in their colourful Jewellaries and marketing commodities. Then drive back to Jeypore.

Day 9: Jeypore - Kunduli - Jagdalpur

Stop At: Jagannath Temple, Puri 752001 India
Breakfast at hotel, drive to Kunduli to visit the weekly market of Paraja tribes (weekly market commence on Friday only) . It is the biggest market of the tribal area. Then visit Jagannath Temple & tribal meusem at Korapute. Lunch at Jeypore. Then drive to Jagdalpur on way, visit the Kotapada (a weaving village). Permit require to enter into chittigarh.

Day 10: Jagdalpur

Stop At: Kanger Valley National Park, Near River Kolab, Jagdalpur India
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit Kanger Valley National Park. Then drive to Mardoom to see the tribal market of Maria & Muria tribes. Then drive to Chitrakoot Water Falls (known as Niagra of Chhatisgarh). Drive back to Jagdalpur.

Day 11: Jagdalpur - Kanker

Stop At: Kondagaon, Kondagaon, Bastar District, Chhattisgarh
Breakfast at hotel, visit to Kondagaon (Rot iron craft centre). Then visit to Narayanpur Sunday market also see cockfight. Then proceed to Kanker and check in to the hotel.

Day 12: Kanker - Sirpur - Raipur

Stop At: Sirpur, Sirpur, Mahasamund District, Chhattisgarh
Breakfast at hotel, drive to Sirpur enroute visit to Champaner & Rajim. Then visit to Sirpur Buddhist site and proceed to Raipur.
