The most colorful trek you will ever find, the green meadows, the white clouds and the multi-colored flowers blend to make the dreamlike Valley of Flowers trek.

Declared as a UNESCO world heritage site, the Valley of Flowers is a preciously preserved National Park that sits in the laps of the Garhwal Himalayas 14,400ft above sea level. The valley boasts a huge spectrum of millions of rare species of flowers such as saxifrages, sediams, lilies, poppy, calendular, daisies, geranium, zinnia and petunia, some of which are only found in this region. One can also find a variety of rare and endangered species of animals like Asiatic black bear, brown bear, snow leopard, blue sheep and more.

Another alluring highlight of the trek is the alpine lake of Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib, highest Gurdwara in the world, huddled high in the laps of the Himalayas.

Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar - Govindghat

Stop At: Haridwar, Uttarakhand 249408, India
You tour starts from the holy town of Haridwar. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, Haridwar is famous for its temples, and the Ganga ghats.

Meet the guides at a starting point in the morning. After breakfast, get on a drive to reach Govindghat (1874 mt / 253Km) which is the winter abode of Lord Badrinath.

Have lunch enroute and arrive at Govindghat in the evening, which is located at the confluence of Alaknanda and Lakshman Ganga rivers.

Check into the Guest house/hotel and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 2: Govindghat - Ghangaria Trek

Stop At: Ghangaria, Hemkunt Shahib Rd, Uttarakhand 246443, India
After breakfast, start trekking to reach Ghangaria(3049 mt / 12 km Trek) with packed lunch. Ghangaria is also known as Govind Dham, It is the last village of the trek and is used as the base camp for visiting Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers.

Day 3: Ghangaria - Hemkund - Ghangaria

Stop At: Hemkund Sahib, Ghangaria, Gobindghat, Chamoli India
Early in the morning start trekking (5.5 Km) to reach Hemkund Sahib.
One of the most revered of all Sikh Shrines, Hemkund Sahib is the World’s Highest Gurudwara situated at an altitude of 4,329 mts.

Stop At: Ghangaria, Hemkunt Shahib Rd, Uttarakhand 246443, India
In the afternoon trek down to reach Ghangaria. The evening is free for rest & relaxation.

Day 4: Ghangaria - Valley of Flower - Ghangaria

Stop At: Valley of Flowers National Park, 246443 India
Have breakfast and trek to the Valley of Flowers (4 Km). The whole valley is dotted with varieties of exotic flowers and other flora.

This valley was also declared as a National Park in 1982 and is a USESCO world heritage site. One can also find a variety of rare and endangered species of animals like Asiatic black bear, brown bear, snow leopard, blue sheep and more. With the backdrop of the mountains and the scenic trail, you will feel as you have definitely landed in the land of fairies.

Stop At: Ghangaria, Hemkunt Shahib Rd, Uttarakhand 246443, India
Return to Ghangria in the evening.

Day 5: Ghangaria - Govindghat

Day 6: Govindghat- Haridwar
