The new capital, designed by Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker, took twenty years to complete, but had to be abandoned in 16 years, when India gained independence.
Today, New Delhi's monuments represent' state space'–they are democratic India's most recognizable icons. New Delhi is a city with wide roads and leafy avenues, and government bungalows are set in private gardens.

You will be picked up at 08:30 in the morning from your room. Or at 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon. Together with your air-conditioned vehicle & guide, take you to Lutyens Delhi City Tour.
Begin your tour with your English speaking guide who will visit the House of President for the first time. You will then visit the House of Parliament, India Gate, Raj Path (King's Way), Janpath (Queen's Way), official government bungalows, Connaught Place and surroundings, Gurudwara Bangla Saheb (Sikh Temple), Birla Mandir (Hindu Temple) and National Musuem.
At the conclusion of your trip, in your air-conditioned car you will be escorted back to your hotel.
