Sunda Kelapa Harbor is one of the most favorite destinations of Jakarta Sightseeing Tour. It has been established since the 15th Century by the Kingdom of Ancient Pajajaran. So its age is around 500 years old now. Previously, it was a symbol of greatness where inter-state trading occurs. Currently, the harbor functioned as a fish market. And it is known as the largest fish market in Jakarta. Early in the morning, it also functioned as a fish auction center. Nowadays, the harbor is still a busy port as a center of cargo transportation. There are many wooden boats crowding in the harbor. Here, you could see and enjoy the magnificent of Phinisi, the Indonesian traditional ships. Moreover, we could rent a wooden boat to enjoy sightseeing around the harbor and visit Syahbandar Tower.

In our way to visit Monas, we shall pass and stop at Catholic Cathedral Church. It is located just the opposite and the Grand Istiqlal Mosque. We should not skip this destination while in Jakarta. These two houses of worships located close to each other. They are a symbol of harmony and tolerance in Indonesia. Moreover, Istiqlal Mosque is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and the third-largest in the world. Built-in 1955, by a Christian Architect, Frederich Silaban. On the other hand, the Roman Catholic Church has wonderful architecture.

Stop At: National Monument (MONAS), Jl. Silang Monas, Jakarta 10110 Indonesia

Near to the worship houses, we may see Monas (Monumen Nasional) or the National Monument. We suggest you not to visit it on the weekend or holidays. Because it usually crowds with many visitors during weekend/holidays. And the long queue shall abort your desire to visit the peak of the tower. The height of the monument is 137 meter. At the top, there is a gold-coated flame. Historically, it was built by our Founding Father, Soekarno. It is as a symbol of freedom and independence. The National Museum located on the ground. In the museum, you can find old maps, antiques, Chinese porcelain, and even an underwater prison.
