Kelimutu crater coloured lakes are the only such craters in he world where three crates located next to each other with different colours. In the colonial era the colours of the lakes are told to be red, white and blue similar to the colour of the Netherland flags. In recent years the colours tend to change constantly yet the blue crater tend to be always in turqoise colour.

Nest in the Lio ethnic area, the crater lakes are believed to be the dwelling of the souls of the passed away villagers. The sacred place. The west most crater called Tiwu Ata Bupu or the lake for the elders, the crater in the middle is named Tiwu Ko'o Fai Nua Muri or the lake for the youth. Whilst the red or brown one is the place for the sinners.

• Arrival in ENDE, you will be met by your guide and take Ende sightseeing. Visit Ende morning market and the Exile House of Mr Sukarno - the Indonesian Founding Father - where he was exiled in the colonial era. Then lunch at local restaurant in Ende. • Visit KELIMUTU, depart very early in the morning to experience the sunrise from the crater lakes. After enjoying the magnificent nature beauty drive back to Moni or walk downhill at some parts of the road for the villages and rice fields. Before an early lunch visit a village with traditional Lio ethnic house with Lio Backstrap loom ikat weaving. Then return to Ende to catch your flight to the next destination.
