Visiting Tanjung Puting National Park with the Klotok wooden boat transportation mode,and 2 nite Liveaboard and 4 nite Dayak Arut River, relax to enjoy the nature and wildlife tourism  

The Dayak tribes of Central Kalimantan is settled along the along the LamandauRiver, another river systems of Pangkalan Bun to the north. About one third of the area are TUMON Dayaks, mostly Christian, who were evangelized in the late 1920s and early 1930s. About 10% are Traditional Religion called Kaharingan. The most we travel to the north the most traditional the tribes are and the transportation is more limited.

To reach the area, by private car or by  speedboat is alternative. . Although the area is not traditional anymore, but the Dayak tribes is still maintain their traditional cultures and stuffs from their head hunting age. The facilities in this area are very limited. 

Itinerary

Day 1: Sekonyer River

Stop At: Orangutan & Dayak Adventure, Jl Ma Jambek Arut Riverside Dayak House RT02 Raja Seberang, Pangkalan Bun 74114 Indonesia
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you will be picked up by our local staff and take you to Kumai to board on the boat.The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river boat with a roof which forms the upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. First Stop Tanjung Harapan Feeding Camp , Meet Proboscis Monkey and enjoy sun set at the Sekonyer RIver

Day 2: Camp Leakey Black River

Stop At: Camp Leakey, Tanjung Puting Reserve Indonesia
After breakfast board the klotok to travel up river for about 2 hours boating and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rain forest. En route stop at Pondok Tanguy, the rehabilitation center for the new ex-captive orangutans. At Camp Leakey you will have opportunity to trek into the rain forest with your expert guide and the forestry rangers to appreciate the flora as well as perhaps sighting wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and birds. Lunch provided on boat. Afternoon visit the feeding station to see rehabilitate orangutans are given additional foods. We will then sail back down the river to overnight on the boat .

Day 3: Arut River

Stop At: Arut River, Pangkalan Bun Indonesia
after breakfast we explore and trekking at Pesalat and visit Sekonyer Villages after lunch return to Kumai and by car to  Pangkalan Bun City, while walking on a wooden bridge to see the dayak people's life with the river and cross the river by sampan  (small boat ) stop by for check in and Dinner  at the Dayak wooden house in the Raja Seberang village

Day 4: Kotawaringin

Pass By: Kotawaringin Lama Gas Station, Waringin Hilir City, Kotawaringin Lama, West Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan 74161, Indonesia
After breakfast walk to Arut River to board the Speedboat up Lamandau River. You will pass many Dayak villages around the river and many rapids in the river. You will stop at Kotawaringin village for lunch at a local restaurant, and then continue up Lamandau River to Bokonsu Village. Upon arrival at Bokonsu, you will be welcomed by eating bettle nut, and will then enjoy the unique experience of joining this traditional life style. In the evening after dinner, a local musician will play his instrument to call people to gather into the long house. You will be welcomed by a traditional dance where you will get to sit on the gong! You are like a Queen and a King. Locals will serve you rice wine, this is their way of welcoming guests who visit their village. Overnight at Longhouse with basic facility

Day 5: Dayak Village

Pass By: Kotawaringin Lama Gas Station, Waringin Hilir City, Kotawaringin Lama, West Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan 74161, Indonesia
After breakfast sightseeing around the Bokonsu village, see the spunduk, the small house for keeping the bones of the dead, the long pole we called Pantar, made from iron wood. This used to be for tying their enemy before they cut off their head. You will then continue down the river stopping at Kotawaringin village, this is the oldest village and was built in the 17th century by Kiai Gede, well-known as the Muslim missionary. Visit the old palace and the 7 cannons that are still kept in the house. The people still believe these cannons have spirits in them if you can lift them up. After lunch back to Pangkalan Bun and check in to Arut Guest House

Day 6: Pangkalan Bun
