Since 1986 Historical Walking Tours of Dublin have been exploring the history of Ireland's capital city from Viking settlement to modern metropolis. Led by history graduates of Trinity College Dublin and UCD this walk is more than just a sightseeing tour but examines the main features of Irish history - the English conquest, the influences of the American and French Revolutions, the Great Famine, 1916 and the struggle for Independence and much more besides.

Dublin combines a medieval city with the most stately of eighteenth century architecture and a thriving contemporary cultural scene.
