The river that divides the Promised Land from the desert to the east. A source of water and therefore a source of life throughout the ages. The southern part was a gateway which led to Jerusalem and the northern part a gateway into the fertile Jezreel Valley. It always was and is an important and strategic location.

A stunning monastery in the Judaen desert that is built into a cliff edge & overlooks the surrounding terrain.
Began as a recluse for monks in the 4th century, it has survived the rigours of time & is still active today.

Stop At: Qasr al-Yahud Baptismal Site, Jordan Valley Region, Jerusalem Israel

An important site to both Judaism & Christianity.
Could be the the location of the Israelite crossing under the command of Joshua when first entering the Holyland.
According to the Christian narrative, the site where John the Baptist baptised Jesus.

An ancient Hellinistic/Roman city.

Stop At: Belvoir National Park, 20 kilometres south of the Sea of Galilee Road 90, Beit She'an Israel

The Crusader fortress & a superb example of Crusader architecture that commands an amazing view of the Jordan Valley.
