in the Basilica San Domenico we will introduce the history of Siena and immerse in the medieval atmosphere of the spiritual and secular organization of the Republic of Siena along the Pilgrims Way. we will stop by the Chapel dedicated to Saint Catherine of Siena and admire the stainglass windows and painttings.

to reach the Cathedral we will explore some of the 17 districts of the Palio di Siena, a very old tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages.

the Cathedral is consider one of the most impressive Romanesque Gothic Church in Tuscany. Masters like Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello and Bernini to name but a few were commissioned splendid artworks inside. The floor of the Cathedral is a splendid carpet of inlaid marble mosaics.

After the visit of the Cathedral we will walk downhill to reach the heart of the gothis Siena that is the unforgettable Piazza del Campo with the City Hall and the Torre del Mangia.
