Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Amalfi Coast extends into the Gulf of Salerno and includes some of its most famous places, from Positano to Ravello and, of course, Amalfi.
The road runs tortuously, like a balcony suspended between the cobalt blue sea and the slopes of the Lattari mountains, in a succession of valleys and headlands between coves, beaches and terraces cultivated with citrus fruits, vines and olive trees. A unique environment, protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Stop At: Grotta dello Smeraldo (Emerald Grotto), Spiaggia Grande, Positano Italy
The bay of Conca dei Marini is a very characteristic area because it hosts a series of white houses and a very particular and suggestive harbor.
If once the area represented the economic fulcrum, thanks to the rich fishing activity and the presence of a tonnara, today the place attracts many tourists and catkins of the sea.
Just in this area there is, for example, the famous Emerald Grotto, which is attacked every year by the many tourists who visit Amalfi and its surroundings.
There are several ancient texts that hypothesized the presence of a cave with these features in the area, but no more precise information circulated in the early twentieth century and each item assumed the connotations of rumor or legend.
The existence of the cave was unknown until 1932, when a fisherman by chance discovered its existence.

Stop At: Positano Paradise Lounge Bar, Via del Saraceno 32 c/o Spiaggia Grande, 84017, Positano Italy
Among the main things to see in Positano there are first of all the typical narrow and winding streets, or rather "stairways" that connect the upper part of the city to the beach. Positano's main beaches are the Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo, both within walking distance of the city center, while the rest are only by sea.
Beyond the universally recognized beauty of its beaches, Positano is frequented by people from all over the world and by the most varied lifestyles.

Stop At: Hotel Sorrento City, Corso Italia, 221, 80067 Sorrento NA, Italy
Land of colors, sirens, city of gardens: there are so many definitions attributed to Sorrento, home of the great Torquato Tasso. In fact, in each there is a fund of truth, a piece of history of this millenary city influenced over the centuries by different cultures: Greeks, Romans, Normans, Aragonese have all passed through here leaving, each civilization, its own imprint and receiving in return the fruits of a generous nature and the poignant landscapes of one of the most beautiful stretches of coast in the world. From the nineteenth century, Sorrento is a pleasant tourist city, with a very strong bond with the Anglo-Saxon world dating back to the so-called "Grand Tour", when knowledge of the Mediterranean was an essential baggage for the formation of the Central European aristocracy. The result was a very different atmosphere compared to other tourist resorts in Campania. Perhaps less inclined to folklore, but certainly more orderly, more welcoming, more civilized. As for things to do, there are so many. Below, the most significant from our point of view.
