On the tour, you will roam through streets and squares, surrounded by the tales and secrets of Florence. Your guide will recount important historical people and places, connecting their stories to the importance and love of food.

You will explore the details of monuments such as Orsanmichele and the Duomo, as well as the unique personalities of Lorenzo the Magnificent, Leonardo Da Vinci and Caterina de'Medici’s impact on the culinary world (just to name a few)! Our city has always mixed craftsmanship, culinary expertise and love for beautiful things; literally, our art is on the table.

To understand an Italian city means to savor its delicious tradition. After your tour, we will explore the traditional Florentine cuisine featured in your tour with a chic picnic in a beautiful garden, Horticultural Garden! We will prepare a multi-course meal for you with locally sourced ingredients!

Here you will meet your guide and discuss the history of the square as the home of the original markets in Florence

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Church and Museum of Orsanmichele, Via Arte della Lana 1, 50123, Florence Italy

We will then move on to the location of the first grain silo in Florence, with a focus on the marvelous Tuscan bread!

Stop At: Museo Casa di Dante, Via Santa Margherita 1, 50122, Florence Italy

We will then move onto Dante's neighborhood and the Chestnut tower to enjoy the tales of medieval cuisine as the Florentine favorite Panzanella, which is still

Stop At: Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, Via della Canonica, 1 Piazza del Duomo, 50122, Florence Italy

The culinary influence that surrounds the cathedral is so deep, it would be hard to fit it into a day! We will discuss everything from the Impruneta terracotta tiles used to prepare lunch for Brunelleschi and his men to the incompleted cupola, to the symbolism of certain statues, and the importance of the Carrara marble used.

On the final stop of our walking tour, we will discuss how Caterina de'Medici changed the world to the Italian cuisine, and thanks to her influence, the world's famous Buontalenti icecream was invented!
