Departure from port of Salerno to Vietri sul Mare in about 15 minutes;

We continue through the historic centre of Salerno, discovering monuments and palaces rich in history, with anecdotes and stories of present and past daily life.

Departure from the port of Salerno to Vietri sul mare first town you meet from the south of the beautiful Amalfi Coast, famous for the production of ceramics with the typical colors of the Mediterranean, yellow, green, blu. Vietri is called open-air museum because the master potters exhibit their art outside the shops, making the town a spectacle of art and color. The view is also breathtaking, the gaze embraces the rugged coastline to the neighboring village of Cetara, and rests on "2 Brothers", two almost identical rocks that, according to Greek mythology, of which the coast of Campania is soaked, were two brothers drowned in those waters...
Then we reach the village of Cetara, the most authentic village on the coast, famous for the fishing of anchovies and the delicius dripping, from them obtained. Small "lunch on the spot" and then walk along the wooden walkway overlooking the port...the "lampare" (typical boats for fishing anchovies) the Saracen tower overlooking the beach...the dome of the cathedral in green and yellow...the deep blue of the coastal sea. Finally we will visit the typical shop that will show us the preparation of the typical and very precious local product "Colatura di Alici".
We return to Salerno, the second most important city in the Campania region, was the capital of Italy after the Second World War and experienced the drama of the landing of the Allies. The Art Nouveau style of the palaces of power is beautiful, as is the splendid historic centre, with the cathedral of St Matteo. From the hill "Bonadies" the ancient Lombard castle watches over the city, which during the winter months, lights up for the now famous event: Salerno "artist lights".
