Day 1: Piazza Armerina

Arrival at Catania airport and transfer to Piazza Armerina.

Day 2: Piazza Armerina

Stop At: Piazza Armerina, 94015 Piazza Armerina, Sicily Italy
Morning visit of the splendid Villa del Casale, of late Roman Imperial age, with its very rich and extremely extensive mosaics and its very wide extension. After lunch, visit the historic center of Piazza Armerina (a very important place in the Middle Ages), of great interest for the preciousness of its churches (above all, the Duomo, S. Pietro and S. Andrea), and the works of art in they contained (sculptures of the Gagini school or paintings of Borremans and of the Flemish school), as for its Baroque streets and its Aragonese Castle.

Day 3: Morgantina

Stop At: La Dea di Morgantina, Via Torres Truppia 1, 94010 Aidone, Sicily Italy
Breakfast and transfer to Morgantina, one of the most important Sicilian-Greek centers, with a visit to the archaeological remains, with the magnificent and spectacular stairway located in the agora (the ancient square). After lunch, transfer to Aidone, an ancient center among the medieval Lombard colonies in Sicily. Visit of the Archaeological Museum, where you can admire, among other things, the splendid (so-called) Venus of Morgantina, with much more material concerning the ancient center. Then we will visit the center, with the churches of S. Maria la Cava, of Norman origin, and of S. Domenico, of fifteenth-century origin. Transfer to Enna and dinner.

Day 4: Enna

Stop At: Duomo di Enna, Piazza Duomo, Enna, Sicily Italy
Visit to Enna, always considered the center of Sicily, but also the highest provincial capital of Italy. Visit of the imposing Castle of Lombardy, of Swabian origin, located at the highest point of the city Then we will visit the fascinating 14th-century Duomo, but of Renaissance character, with paintings by Borremans and Filippo Paladini. The following visit to the nearby Archaeological Museum of Palazzo Varisano will allow us to understand the historical importance of inland Sicily. After lunch, we will visit the fascinating and enigmatic Tower of Frederick II, which presents many references to Castel del Monte, in Puglia, which would indicate the exact geographical center of Sicily. In the evening, transfer to Nicosia, and dinner.

Day 5: Sperlinga

Stop At: Castello Di Sperlinga, Largo Castello, 94010 Sperlinga, Sicily Italy
Visit of Nicosia, one of the most important centers of the Gallo-Italic language in Sicily. In particular, we will visit the splendid Cathedral, three-fifteenth-century and later modified, and in particular the beautiful fifteenth-century painted ceilings of the Ceiling, as well as the many paintings and sculptures of the interior (the Gagini, Ignazio Marabitti and Pietro Novelli, among the others). The views and views that can be admired along the streets of the town are very beautiful and spectacular. Lunch and transfer to Sperlinga, the only center that, in Sicily, supported the French during the War of the Vespers. Center set in the rock, it is gathered around the magnificent Castle, made fortress by Federico II, of which we will visit the interior. Return to Nicosia and dinner.

Day 6: Nicosia

Stop At: Riserva Naturale Orientata Monte Altesina, Nicosia, Sicily Italy
Breakfast and transfer to the Monte Altesina Nature Reserve, through beautiful landscapes with all shades of green. Visit of the reserve, with splendid views of archaeological remains and wonderful nature. Lunch in the area and transfer to Catania airport.
