Discover the diversity of the Brenta Dolomites when hiking through the fresh waterfalls area of Vallesinella up to the classic lifeless Dolomites highland. You will visit 3 historical mountain huts built more than 100 years ago and taste the traditional cuisine of the region.

Dolomiti di Brenta is

one of the most astonishing dolomite ranges known for its adventurous via-ferratas, majestic summits and historical mountain huts called “rifugio”. This panoramic hike will bring you to the heart of the massif: you will see the

lifeless dolomite landscapes surrounded by huge rocky towers and we will stop in the

most famous mountain huts.

The first hut on our way will be Rifugio Vallesinella built in 1933 and hosted Austrian and Italian élite who spent vacations in Madonna di Campiglio. After a swift ascent we will reach Rifugio Casinei, one of the oldest in Brenta that served as a transit point for alpinists from 1850 and keeps solid alpinist traditions.

In the afternoon we will stop for lunch in Rifugio Tuckett situated in the central part of Brenta at the foot of the magnificent peak Castelletto Superiore. The hut was built in 1904 and named after a legendary English alpinist Francis Fox Tuckett. Here we will try unforgettable canederli, goulash with polenta and sauerkraut or a delicious local pasta.

Moving forward by the trails on the Cima Mandron slopes, we will reach Rifugio Brentei hidden at the foot of Crozzon di Brenta. This hut has a strategic location for many trekking and via-ferrata routs in Brenta.

This hike is ranged as an intermediate level of difficulty tour. You need to be in a good shape to do this hike. If you travel with children, the guide can adapt the itinerary. There is a possibility of a ski lift transition to or from the highland.
