Day Trip from Genova to Nice

History of Nice began around 350 BC when the Greeks of Marseille founded a permanent settlement and called it Nikaia.
Located along the French Riviera, right by the Mediterranean Sea, the climate that prevails all year round is the mild Mediterranean.
All this attracted, in the 18th century, many English aristocratic families to spend their winters here.
Nice is divided into the old and new part of the city.
The most scenic of all is the Promenade des Anglais ("Walkway of the English"), with the most exquisite hotels and luxury villas nested one after the other.
Many well-known artists and important personalities like Henri Matisse, Chagall, Picasso, and Renoir, fell in love with this mesmerizing place.
Museums like the Musée Matisse, Chagall, and d'Art Moderne, and squares such as The Place Masséna and The Place Garibaldi were created to honor them.
