Get on a rowing boat, lie down, let the sailor drag you under an entrance arch just a meter high. At first you only see darkness, then suddenly everything will be colored with blue and transparent reflections while the echo of Neapolitan songs bounces between the stone walls.

The Lighthouse of Punta Carena towers over the south-western end of the island of Capri, on the Limmo peninsula, a name that derives from the Latin limen and means border. Beyond there is only sea and sea up to Sicily. Behind it rises the cliff of the Migliera covered by defensive walls built by the British at the beginning of the 1800s to protect Capri.
The lighthouse, built in 1866, is among the most important in the Tyrrhenian Sea and the second in Italy for its luminous reach after that of Genoa. In Punta Carena the seabed declines very quickly: just 500 meters from the coast it marks about 600 meters deep.

The Green cave, formerly known as the cave of the Turks, is a cavity located on the southern side of the island of Capri, known above all for the color of the water in its interior which, due to particular plays of light, takes on the color green.

The bay of Marina Piccola is the right place to go if you are looking for a beach with a view of the Faraglioni. Marina Piccola is located on the south side of the island, protected behind by a steep rock face: this is why it is always warm and not very windy.

Think of Capri for a moment. The first image that comes to mind is surely that of the Faraglioni: three rock peaks rising from the sea a few meters from the coast. Each Faraglione has a name: the first joined to the land is called Stella, the second, separated from the first by a stretch of sea, Faraglione di Mezzo and the third Faraglione di Fuori or Scopolo, or head or promontory over the sea.

The Natural Arch, an amazing paleolithic sculpture, is what remains of a deep and very high cavity originally underground and, after a landslide, become discovered. Stop At: Marina Grande Public Beach, Via Provinciale Marina Grande 272, 80073, Capri, Island of Capri Italy

Here is the only port of Capri, where hydrofoils and ferries dock. Not far away there is also the public beach of Marina Grande, the largest on the island of Capri and, in summer, boarding for the gozzo that leads to the area of Palazzo a Mare. Going left there is Piazza Vittoria and the Funicolare station, the taxi stand, the newsagent, the pharmacy, various bars, restaurants and shops selling typical products.
