Discovering the oil - visit and tasting at Ururi

Come and discover the various phases of oil production in a pleasant and familiar environment. We will let you taste the quality and the goodness of the famous Gentile di Larino, the undisputed star of the local gastronomy.

You have the impression of a journey back in time, when you walk the streets immersed in the greenery that crosses the Molise land: it smells of ancient rarefied atmosphere, the hills with sweet lines that slope down towards the sea, the golden light between olive trees and wheat fields.

In the farm, over two hundred years old, oil is produced from 10 thousand plants of different cultivars, typical of Molise and central-southern Italy, through the use of innovative agronomic techniques.

Itinerary

Your experience will begin with a pleasant walk among the olive trees, in the rolling hills of the lower Molise. You will follow the path of the olive, from harvesting to pressing, and you will discover how a noble produces its oil.

You will visit the company oil mill with a detailed explanation of the production processes of extra virgin olive oil, up to the packaging area;

At the end of the visit, there will be a guided tasting of the oils obtained from different olive varieties: the classic Extra Virgin, the DOP, the organic and the Peranzana monovariety and the whole range of citrus oils produced on the farm, olives and creams of vegetables.
