trees, abbeys and fortified towns belonging to the world heritage. 3 or 4-start

hotels with Bed & Breakfast + car rental formula. The itinerary described below

is just a suggestion of the activities you can make. We help you to set your

itinerary with pleasure. However, hotels will be included on the program to

guarantee the price.

DAY 1 (Saturday) FLORENCE (PISA, SIENA OR SURROUNDINGS as alternative)

Arrival at the airport/station and pick up of the rented car. Departure to Siena or its surroundings and

accommodation at the selected 4** hotel (Hotel Executive Siena – Grand Hotel Guinigi (Lucca) –

Grand Hotel Bonanno (Pisa) – Fattoria La Torre (Monte Carlo) – Hotel Semifonte (Poggibonsi) or similar

DAY 2 (Sunday) SIENA

Breakfast at the hotel and then tour of Siena, one of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany. Piazza del

Campo dominating the heart of the city and the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Scala are two reference

points for the famous Palio, the historic annual race that takes place on 2 July and 16 August. Siena

has also one of the oldest universities in Europe. In addition to the many sculptures found in its narrow

streets, the city offers many cultural events, such as concerts and theatre performances. Return to the

hotel in Siena or its surroundings. (B)

DAY 3 (Monday) FLORENCE

Breakfast at the hotel. We recommend taking a tour of the city of art par excellence, Florence, with its

many monuments, historic buildings, galleries and museums, expressing all the splendour of the

ancient Italian civilization. Already flourishing in the Middle Ages, it reached its maximum splendour in

the Renaissance. Along with Rome, it represents the history of italian culture. Its streets and museums

are home to unique works in the world that belong to the world heritage. Return to the hotel in Siena

or its surroundings. (B)

DAY 4 (Tuesday) SAN GIMIGNANO – COLLE VAL D´ELSA

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we recommend taking a tour of San Gimignano, one of the most

fascinating examples of medieval town, included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list, to discover

beautiful squares, medieval buildings, churches, towers and quaint alleys. Then you can take a tour of

Colle Val d’Elsa, a medieval town famous for the production of crystal. Return to the hotel in Siena or

its surroundings. (B)

DAY 5 (Wednesday) PIENZA – MONTALCINO

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Pienza, the «touchstone of Renaissance urbanism», included

in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 1996. Then, you can take a tour of Montalcino, a majestic

fortification perched on a hill. Here some of the best Italian wines, namely Brunello wines, are

produced, especially Rosso di Montalcino. The town is located between Mount Amiata and the sea,

about 45 km from Siena, in the heart of the Val d’Orcia and its origin dates back to the 12th century.

You can take a walk through its quaint streets full of attractions and choose one of its squares to taste

a glass of good wine. Return to the hotel in Siena or its surroundings. (B)

DAY 6 (Thursday) VOLTERRA – PISA – LUCA

Breakfast at the hotel and then we recommend taking a tour of Volterra that,

perched on a hill, is the province of Pisa you will encounter. With its majestic

walls, gates, palaces and streets, Volterra was the last town to fall under the rule

of Rome. We recommend visiting Guarnacci Etruscan Museum, and then taking

a walk through the archaeological area. After discovering the Etruscan past, you

should definitely see Palazzo dei Priori, dating back to 1208, the Renaissance

Fortezza, the Pinacoteca, the Duomo and the Alabaster Ecomuseum, where the

major sculptors of Volterra exhibit their creations carved in white stone.

Departure to Pisa, Lucca or its surroundings and hotel accommodation. (B)

DAY 7 (Friday) PISA – LUCCA

Breakfast at the hotel. We recommend taking a tour of Pisa, city famous all over

the world for its leaning tower at the “Square of Miracles”. Then you could visit

Lucca, a city rich in history and the birthplace of great musicians like Puccini and

Boccherini, which is undoubtedly one of the most pleasant surprises that a

traveller can find in Italy. A stroll through the historic centre will become an

exciting time travel through this sleepy city surrounded by the reddish belt of its

historic brick walls dating back to the sixteenth century. In the city centre, the

characteristic oval square built on the floor of an ancient amphitheatre, is

another of the many attractions of this medieval jewel. Return to the hotel. (B)

DAY 8 (Saturday) PISA – LUCCA

Breakfast at the hotel, departure to the airport/station, return of the rented car

and end of our services. (B)
