What could be more appropriate at Easter in Rome than visiting the sacred relics of the Passion & Death of Jesus brought to Rome from Jerusalem in the early 4th Century.

First we see the Basilica of St Mary Major - containing wood from the manger of Bethlehem and an icon of St Luke.

We then go to the Basilica of Santa Prassede which holds magnificent mosaics & has the pillar upon which Christ was flogged.

Then we then enter the church of St Alfonso Ligouri to see the world famous icon “Our Lady of Perpetual Help / Succour” also known as the Virgin of the Passion.

Then you ascend the Holy Steps that Christ was judged on by Pilate in Jerusalem brought to Rome by St Helena.

From there we visit the Cathedral of Rome, containing the skulls of Sts Peter & Paul and finally enter a Church built by St Helena. The church contains sacred relics of the Passion of Christ including those of the Holy Sepulcher, the Cave of Bethlehem, a Nail of The Crucifixion, Thorns of The Crown and more.
