Eco Adventure on the Amalfi Coast

An unforgettable experience to explore unspoiled areas of the Amalfi Coast. Be active part of a research and conservation project. Snorkel and kayak in  Punta Campanella Protected Marine Area. Discover on foot the land treasures of the Baia di Ieranto: a procteted area of 47 hectars of mediterranean vegetation and olive groves. Your participation will result in a donation to the Park. 

Please be aware our tour requires a perfect physical condition.

Your private driver will meet you where requested in Sorrento or Positano.

Activities takes place in small shared groups. In some cases you may be by yourself with your party, in other cases there can be up to 10 persons per group.

The path is about 2 miles long, with an altitude gap of 600 ft. The walk is flat for 1/3 of the total course with a steep path in the second part and with stairs and shade in the third. It takes about 1 hour to reach the beach from the village of Nerano. We suggest to bring water, food, hat, sunglasses, suncream, swimming suit, towel, an extra t-shirt, walking shoes.

Snorkeling takes place is calm water, it is accessible also to first timers. You do not need to be an experienced swimmer.

The return kayak trip requires physical strength and some experience. The little ones will board kayak with two seats so they will can either be with their parents or with a member of the staff.

There is a changing room at the Ieranto Bay at the end of the Hike where you can leave safely your belongings. There will be a changing room and showers at the Marina where the kayak trip and the tour ends.

 Our team of marine biologists, kayakers and volunteers will spend the day with you.

We have 3 standard programmes. Every programmes involves the hike down to the Marina Park, snorkelling activity and the kayak back to the beach where the private car be waiting.

 “La Baia in Fondo al Sentiero” is a project focused on ecotourism, nature conservation, environmental monitoring, and information for visitors that takes place in the Ieranto Bay

In the last 2 years MAREA Association developed a program of Marine Biology on the field, called “School in Nature”, through direct observation of marine organisms enriched with lectures and laboratories for different categories of participants (kids, youngsters and universitary students
