Between the 9th and 13th centuries the town of Amalfi was its own maritime Duchy and equally as powerful as Venice, Genoa and Pisa. Now at Unesco World Heritage Site, Amalfi is famous for its beautiful cathedral, it’s exquisite handmade ceramics and of course it’s lemons!
