(7:10 am) Meet your passionate and ever-trusty tour guide at our front office near the Vatican museum, where you will be served a typical Italian breakfast.

Then, proceed to the museum entrance, where you will be guided to enter 1 hour before general admission.

This complete tour of the Vatican provides insights on the museum’s collection, including statues, paintings, tapestries, and more. You will hear anecdotes of mythological and renaissance times as you pass through a long hallway containing maps of 16th-century Italy and a gallery of ancient and Roman statues. This part of the museum, containing four stanze (Italian for rooms) features frescos by the Italian Renaissance artist Raphael. The famous “School of Athens” is displayed here. Portraits of history’s greatest thinkers, such as Aristotle, Plato, and Raphael himself, can also be gleamed.

We arrive at the St. Peter's Basilica- arguably one of the most impressive churches in the world. In a small quirk, you will get a peak of the Pope’s personal bodyguards: the Pontifical Swiss Guards! These young men dressed in waistcoats and high fur hats are stationed right by the exit.
