In the company of your own personal guide you will explore the sights of the Eternal City. In 3-hours you will traverse the city centre, walking Rome’s streets, visiting some of the city’s famous piazzas, discovering ancient temples and hidden monuments and gazing upon some of Rome’s spectacular fountains. All of the well-known sights are included in the tour including the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, the Church of St. Ignatius and much more.

You will meet your guide in a city centre coffee bar and begin a journey of discovery seeing many of the sights made famous in the movies and read about in books. You will meander down the maze of streets that criss-cross the centre of the city and visit some out-of-the way squares where you will find hidden fountains and monuments. Around every corner there is another piece of history!

As you walk on Rome’s ancient cobbled streets you can stop for a drink of fresh mountain water from one of the many Fontanelle’s, the elegant fountains that are scattered throughout the city. You can stop for a pastry or gelato from one of the many street cafes and take photos of Rome’s famous monuments.

On the tour you will visit the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. The latter is a magnificent square that was built above the ruins of the ancient stadium of the Emperor Domitian and that in its heyday played host to 30,000 spectators. Now the piazza is the site of the old church of St. Agnes and Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, designed by him in 1651 for Pope Innocent X.

The Spanish Steps are a well known place in Rome, they are a set of steps in Rome, Italy, climbing a steep slope between the Piazza di Spagna at the base and Piazza Trinità dei Monti, dominated by the Trinità dei Monti church at the top.
