Monte Chiaro Organic Chianti winery welcomes guests daily at our Wine Shop "Cantinetta", inside the Castle of Monteriggioni, founded in 1213. The Griccioli family has been the oldest private proprietor of the Castle in the past, starting by the year 1720. Each tasting experience demonstrates Monte Chiaro’s dedication to Chianti’s native, noble varietals such as Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera Toscana.
Our expert guides will lead you through a 30-minute immersion into our rich history together with current vineyard and winemaking operations. Guests are educated on the Monteriggioni castle impressive history and our rich Chianti heritage.
