The path winds through dirt roads that cross the Alcantara Valley in the midst of unique naturalistic and natural beauties. One of the major attractions of this route is the river Alcantara and its famous Gorges: it is a lava canyon 4-5 meters wide and up to 30 meters high.

Another beautiful natural site is the Gurne, it is very special natural lakes formed along the river bed. Along the paths you will meet different observation points, with panoramic views of Mount Etna and some villages of medieval origin.
