Visiting Pompeii is a unique experience: the city was submerged by the eruption of Vesuvius 79 AD and this made it remain intact at that time, giving us the opportunity to walk between domus with beautiful frescoes and mosaics, the shops of the time and the Amphitheater, and discover the moments of public and private life of the ancient Romans. We will then continue towards Vesuvius, the most known volcano in the world, dormant but still active. We will arrive at an altitude of 1000 meters by minibus and then continue on foot through a spectacular path that will show us from above the crater and on the outside the solidified flow of 1944.

Pompeii excavations: Once you arrive at the archaeological excavations, a UNESCO heritage site, you will meet your guide and leave for a 2-hour tour to discover the highlights of Pompeii. During the visit, you will discover more about the destructive volcanic eruption of 79 AD who buried the ancient city for centuries. The ash and molten lava that gushed out of Vesuvius have greatly preserved the city, and it is possible to see many original places of interest around the site. You will see the old public baths, the Macellum (market) and the Temple of Jupiter, and you will hear their story from the guide.

After a break for lunch at your expense, you will continue to the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. Stretch your legs in a 30-minute hike up to the crater and get to know the infamous volcano by a mountain guide.
