A walking tour to discover another side of Ancient Rome. Starting from Porta Capena, the begin of Old Appian Way, guide will take to Baths of Caracalla and tour will end by the Porta San Sebastiano, one of ancient City door to visit the Museum of the Wall. At the end of the tour a private van will take you back to your Hotel, if within Aurelian wall, or starting point.
Tour start at 9:00AM. guide will meet you by the entrance of the metro Station Circo Massimo, Line B ( blue color ). By foot will reach the Baths of Caracalla the second largest Public Baths in the ancient City of Rome. Baths consisted of a central cold room, frigidarium in latin, almost 110 ft high, 39 metres, a double pool with temperate water, tepidarium, and a circular hot room. After the visit to the Baths a walk of abut 1 Km along the begin of the Appian Way will take to the old Appian Door, later called Saint Sebastian Door, one of the 18 doors of the Aurelian Wall. The visit to the Museum of the Wall will let you discover the system of defense of the Walls belt of the City walking along the wall, guide will show you the rooms of the guards and will take you up to the towers to enjoy a beautiful view of an unknown side of the Eternal City.
