Private Tour Day Trip Excursion to Herculaneum - Vesuvius and Pompeii

Stopped in their tracks by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79, Herculaneum and Pompeii offer the best look anywhere at what life in Rome must have been like around 2,000 years ago.
After being picked up from your accommodation, cruise ship, airport or train station, you will be taken on tours to Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Vesuvius.
Two tour options are available:
Option A (does not include a licensed tour guide)
A first stop will be made at one of the two archaeological sites, Pompeii or Herculaneum. After purchasing your ticket, you will start to visit the ruins independently for a couple of hours. Afterward, you will be taken to the second archaeological site. After purchasing your ticket you will be able to visit, the ruins independently. The third and last stop will be at Mount Vesuvius. You will buy the ticket and then proceed on an excursion to the top of the volcano. In the end, you will be taken back to the point of pick-up. It is always possible to request a different organization of the stops. It is also possible to request to skip the stop at Herculaneum or Mount Vesuvius to go instead to a wine cellar for a wine tasting with quick lunch. There is no guide to accompany visitors within the sites with this option. However, the driver will be able to provide information and suggestions of a general nature about the attractions visited. If desired, it will always be possible to book an authorized guide service after booking the tour by sending an email or making a phone call.
Option B (with an authorized guide)
A first stop will be made at one of the two archaeological sites, Pompeii or Herculaneum, where you will meet the authorized guide. After purchasing your ticket, you will start to visit the ruins together with the professional guide. Afterward, you will be taken to the second archaeological site. After purchasing your ticket, you will be able to visit the ruins together with the professional guide. The third and last stop will be at Mount Vesuvius. You will buy the ticket and then proceed on an excursion to the top of the volcano. In the end, you will be taken back to the point of withdrawal. It is always possible to request a different organization of the stages. It is also possible to request to skip the stop at Mount Vesuvius to go instead to a wine cellar for a wine tasting with quick lunch. A guide will accompany visitors only within the archaeological sites.
Tickets to access Pompeii - Herculaneum - and the route to the top of Vesuvius is not included in the price of the tour. If you request as an alternative to Mount Vesuvius, the wine tasting with light lunch, the price for the tasting with lunch is not included in the tour. In all other cases, the time allowed for the lunch break is about 40 minutes. The tour has an expected total duration of 8 hours, approximately divided as follows: about 2 hours in Pompeii - about 1.40 in Herculaneum about 3 hours to Vesuvius, including in this last count, about 40 minutes of driving uphill, about 1.20 hours walk to reach the top of the volcano and return to the vehicle, about 40 minutes driving down to the highway. Duration of up to 8.45 hours will not cause an extra charge, after 8.45 hours of duration, an extra charge of € 40 will be applied for each additional hour of duration.
