Private Wine Tour - Visit Two Small Wineries

This is a private wine tour during which you will visit small family-run wineries. You will meet the producers in person and taste 6 local wines.

You will taste Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Cerasuolo and learn how they are made. Local artisan cheeses, salami and prosciutto will be served during the tastings.

Your knowledgeable guide will tell you about history of wine-making in Abruzzo and give you some tips on where in the region to find the best wines.

Please note: we visit small family wineries where producers make time in their busy schedule to meet you. Appointments are set when a tour booking is confirmed and cannot be changed.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Stazione di Pescara Centrale, Via Bassani Pavoni, 65124, Pescara Italy

This is just a location to indicate that you can arrive by train to our meeting point in Scafa (30 mins from Pescara by train). I will pick you up and drop you off at the train station in Scafa after the wine tour. Alternatively, you can arrive by car to our meeting point.

Duration: 5 minutes

Stop At: Chiesa di San Donato, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 65020 San Valentino in Abruzzo Citeriore Italy

We will visit our first winery in San Valentino (the indicated attraction is not far from it, just to give you an idea of the area). We will meet the wine producer, walk in the beautiful vineyard with panoramic views, taste 4-5 wines (some directly from the steel tanks), taste local cheeses and cured meats.

Stop At: Castello dei Caracciolo, Alle Pendici del Monte Morrone, Tocco da Casauria Italy

We will visit another family-run winery in Tocco da Casauria (the attraction indicated just to give you an idea of the location). We will meet the producers, take a tour of their 200-year-old cellar, learn about wine making and taste 3-4 award-winning wines and olive oils. The tasting will be accompanied by light snacks (bread, local cheeses, cured meats).
