Tea Tasting with Chinese Tea Ceremony

The activity allows people to have a moment of relax in the city. This is suitable for tourists as well since they deserve a break from all the new information they have taken in. And what better way to process it than to discuss and describe it in a friendly way over a cup of tea.

The teashop is cozy and hospitable. In the front room all the teas are displayed, and in the back room the tea ceremony will be taking place. The store is a stone's throw away from the “Arco della Pace” a monument dedicated to peace among nations, located across the Sempione Park opposite the Sforzesco Castle. The Park is the most beautiful park in Milano and it’s wonderful and refreshing to walk through it's trees.

The teas offered are selected teas, covering the 6 main varieties: White, Yellow, Green, Oolong, Black and Puer. Most of them come from China and we also have teas from Japan and India. There is a huge variety in flavors and it’s possible in the event to try any 3 types.

Itinerary

The activity is both a feast for the senses, and an opportunity to relax. We will start by looking at and smelling leaves from different types of teas among the over 60 available at the store. After which we will select 3 types of teas that the customer wants to taste.

We will then sit around a table equipped with the instruments for the Chinese Tea Ceremony 功夫茶, where I will prepare the 3 teas while explaining the brewing procedures, their history, and give more information about the teas we are drinking. After that we will let the tea flavors, and the energy of the room take the conversation wherever it wants to go.

At the end you will have learned a lot about different topics, feel relaxed and ready to go visit more of Milan with fresh new energy!

Start time for both morning and afternoon sessions are flexible. It's possible to request an early or late start. Just call me to schedule! :-)
