The splendid scenery that this suggestive territory offers has been a favorite destination of poets, painters and wealthy aristocrats who from the 19th century have reached it as a stop on the famous "Grand tour", a fascinating journey through archeology, history, places of worship and naturalistic landscapes in Tivoli that you don't expect; cultivated by the love of its citizens and appreciated over the centuries by tourists and lovers of natural beauty. 8.00 Departure from your accommodation from Rome with a luxury car and with our English-Spanish speaking driver to Tivoli. The ancient Latin city named Tibur, boasts an origin and a millenary history much more archaic than Rome (1215 BC) as evidenced by the Sanctuary of Ercole Vincitore, a sacred structure dating back to the 2nd century BC Currently the image of this city is linked to its three magnificent villas that decorate it everywhere: Villa Adriana, Villa d'Este and the Villa Gregoriana landscape, a splendid and fascinating natural park in the countryside, where it is possible to enjoy a delicious lunch ( not included) in a historic and typical restaurant of the place.

Villa Adriana was an imperial residence of the second century built by the emperor Hadrian, it was a true city, it possessed a rich complex of buildings distributed on a surface of around 120 hectares. Now it is a grandiose complex of ruins of palaces, baths, theaters, gyms, arcades, temples, libraries and small neighborhoods. Some monuments are the scale reproduction of the places and buildings that had struck the emperor in his travels in different cities. Around the pool there are statues, which are facing the pool and not towards the visitors, thus creating an enchanting reflection on the surface of the water.

Villa d'Este was built during the Renaissance in the 16th century, is a true masterpiece of the Italian garden, immense and extraordinary in the landscape, artistic and historical context of the city of Tivoli, with numerous fountains, caves, nymphaeums, water games and music plumbing that leaves its visitors speechless, the area is full of ravines, caves and waterfalls. These imposing buildings and the terraces above the terraces make us think of one of the wonders of the ancient world, the "Gardens of Babylon" while the water supply, with an aqueduct and a tunnel under the city, recalls the engineering wisdom of the ancient Romans.
Villa d'Este is closed every Monday morning, opens at 2.00 pm
