A daily experience on Abruzzo’s cooking traditions surrounded by the wonderful landscapes of Pacentro.

From the knowledge of the typical ingredients and the visit of an ancient traditional market to the realisation of a complete Italian lunch, based on typical Abruzzo’s recipes. The excursion includes free time to visit Pacentro.

The day will start at the agreed collection point in the beautiful city of Sulmona city centre, where you will enjoy an Italian breakfast. There you will meet the cooking teacher. You will then be shopping in the old market of Sulmona, surrounded by a unique and amazing landscape. The market is a weekly traditional event and has been part of the local culture for the last 600 years. Walking through this colorful market you will buy the ingredients, that will vary season by season. They will be the basis for the lunch that you will going to prepare. After a short walk through the beautiful alleys of Sulmona you will depart for Pacentro, an astonishing village dominating the valley, where the cooking lesson will take place. You will experience the preparation of typical Abruzzo recipes which will depend on the season. After tasting and enjoying what you prepared you will have the time to walk and discover the beautiful village of Pacentro, before coming back to Sulmona where the tour will end.
