The area between Tuscany, Umbria and northern Lazio, first known as Etruria, was founded by the Etruscans and the most important city in Tuscia. It is known as the City of the Popes for many years and hosted several conclaves.

Here the soil is purely volcanic, giving the wines typical and traditional notes of distinct minerality and flavor. Home of the famous EST EAST EST in the Montefiascone area, other native vines that are the protagonists of Grechetto in the north, the procanico (Tuscan Trebbiano), yellow Trebbiano, malvasia and roscetto, as far as the whites are concerned; for the reds are Sangiovese, Merlot, Canaiolo, and violone (Montepulciano).
