Vallocaia Estate Tasting

Vallocaia is a paradise immersed in the gentle slopes south of Montepulciano, which create a landscape of rare and evocative beauty. The company was founded in 1983 by Rudi Bindella who, fascinated by the beauty of the area and the fertility of the land, decided to devote himself to viticulture, believing in the uniqueness of Vino Nobile.
The history of the Bindella family is linked to that of wine at the beginning of the 20th century when Giovanni Bindella with only two horses had started transporting carboys and subsequently introduced the famous Tuscan flask in Switzerland.
The winery, the business center and most of the vineyards are located in one of the oldest and most traditional areas of Montepulciano, that of Argiano. The property now extends for about 136 hectares of which about 45 hectares are vineyards, about 15 hectares of olive groves and arable land.

Itinerary

The visit experience begins with a meeting in front of the metal entrance door. The aging cellar is now an art gallery, complete also with the most modern production techniques. The property is located in one of the oldest and most panoramic production areas of the territory and enjoys an exceptional view of Montepulciano and our vineyards. During the visit it will be possible to admire in each room, the paintings of Christopher Lehmpfuhl, some works of art by contemporary artists and to know all the details on the denomination of the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Docg, visit the barrel cellar and the area of aging in bottle.
