Venice Countryside Tour with Visit to Valpolicella Wine Tasting and Lunch

We will drive to Valpolicella, located about 30 minutes west of Verona, starting with a short visit to a small village comprised of stone houses. With a visit to a local winery, we will learn the intricate process of winemaking from viticulture to harvest, from vineyards to vilification, from aroma to fragrance, color, and taste. Lunch in a local Trattoria. Afternoon olive oil frantoio visit with tasting, or a secon winery or a cheese tasting.

Start the tour heading to Valpolicella, an area located about 30 minutes west of Verona. Upon arrival, enjoy a short visit to a small village famous for its typical stone houses.

You will continue the journey driving through the rolling hills and vineyards, learning about the extraordinary life of farmers and wine makers.

Then visit a local winery, where you will learn the intricate process of wine-making including details about viticulture, harvest, vineyards and vinification. Have fun and talk about the wines' aroma, fragrance, colour and taste with your expert guide. The senses of sight, smell and taste will be explored to discover unexpected emotions.

After the wine tasting, you will enjoy a typical lunch in a local 'Trattoria'.

Next stop is a visit to a 'Frantoio', olive oil mill, to share information about olive-oil making techniques, oil bottling and storage. A professional tasting of two or more different kinds of olive oil guided by an expert is included.

Your last stop will be Soave. Admire the medieval massive walls that surround the old village and the golden grapes that give life to the renowned fragrant local white wine.
